Learning Salesforce is no longer just for Salesforce professionals. With the awareness of the importance of using cloud-based CRM, knowing and using the Salesforce platform becomes essential for various roles.

In this story, I will list my top 10 favourite websites besides Trailhead, where you can learn everything about Salesforce at different levels. Whether you’re new to Salesforce or have been around for a while, I’m sure you’ll benefit from a few of them.

I’m going to start off with the FREE ones.

  1. Salesforce webinars

I am a huge fan of this website because of the variety of the contents and easy-to-use filters. It also lists all the events and videos in a calendar view based on different regions worldwide. So you can easily plan your learning session.

2. SalesforceBen

If you are looking for a place where you can get certification strategies, career advice, technical blogs, or even some third party app ads, this is where you want to go. I love the most about this platform because their writers are the actual admins, developers, and consultants in the field. They bring different voices and ideas to us. Another good thing about SalesforceBen is that the blogs are mostly short to read and updated very frequently.

3. Salesforce Apex Hours

If you want to learn some topics systematically, this Youtube channel might have what you need. Don’t let the name fool you. It has more than just Apex, although the majority of the contents are Salesforce development related.

4. Automation Champion

In my opinion, this is probably the best go-to blog for people who are learning automation on Salesforce. It has everything you need, from declarative tools to programmatic tools. The writer of the blog explains concepts in examples, which helps people to get their hands dirty. The contents are also up-to-date and easy to follow. I find this site engaging and informative.

5. Jenwlee’s Salesforce Blog

Her blog website might not look fancy, but the contents are sure very engaging and practical. My favourite parts of her blog are the release highlights and certificate tips.

6. Salesforce Chris

This site is a very certification exam focused website. I like this one a lot because the study guide section contains many links to help documents. Those links helped me address the relevant knowledge for each exam objective on the official exam outline.

Besides the free ones above, if you have the budget to use some paid platforms, those are the ones that I recommended (My personal opinion, no sponsor).

7. Pluralsight Play by Play series

Pluralsight is an online learning platform that charges a user subscription fee. But I would say the money is well-spent. I have been their user since 2019, and I enjoyed every course I have taken. The classes are extremely well structured, and most of them are just 1–2 hours long, which helps people like me who hate tutorials to stay focused.

The one I highly recommend is the “Play by Play” series led by Don Robins. He invites Salesforce professionals as guests to the show and dives deep into one particular topic in each episode.

8. Udemy.com

This site is probably the most affordable platform for people to learn and adept at new skills. I started my first Salesforce tutorial here back in 2015. I’m very grateful that I made that 15 dollars investment.

There are many courses in a different areas. From instructor-led video-based courses to practice mock exams, you can almost get everything here for all your needs. I also have a course here on Community Cloud Certificate. Make sure to check it out if you’re interested.

9. LinkedIn Learn

Similar to Pluralsight, LinkedIn also offers many Salesforce courses. It certainly covers all different needs for different levels of users, from certification prep to end-user training. But if you’re looking for more technical routes, this might not be your place.

10. FocusOnForce

This site is absolutely the best website for certification exam prep. It has a study guide and mock exams for more than ten different certificates. The price is also very reasonable. I would recommend using their resources for your certification exam preparation.

I hope you will find the above ten sites useful and helpful for your Salesforce journey. Leave a comment and let me know what your favourite Salesforce study resource is!!!
